SDS Attorneys was founded in 2013, as a partnership between father and daughter, Helenus Scholtz and Christine Smith, practising as such till 2023. Since 2024 Helenus works as a consultant of the firm. This driven team has more than 50 years of invaluable experience and specialise in conveyancing and all related matters.

Director
Christine Smith
Christine obtained her LLB degree at the University of Stellenbosch in 2004 and was admitted as an attorney in 2007. She was further admitted as a conveyancer in 2009, she specializes in conveyancing and all related matters. Further, she obtained her qualification as a Solicitor of England and Wales in 2008. In 2017 she completed a course in Executive coaching presented by Getsmarter in collaboration with UCT.
She gained corporate experience by working in the legal department of a Retail Property Management Company in Cape Town. She together with her partner, Helenus Scholtz, established SDS (Smith Davel & Scholtz) attorneys in 2013. Christine holds more than 15 years of experience in conveyancing and all related matters. She is passionate about conveyancing and forging lasting relationships with her clients.
She is committed to her clients to experience an excellent service while selling or purchasing a property. She understands the fact that your home is one of your most valuable assets and treats it with the required respect.

Helenus Scholtz
Helenus was admitted as an attorney, conveyancer and notary and has been practising for his own account in the Bellville Magistrate’s district since 1983.
He further specialised in tax law and estate planning. He is a born entrepreneur and has been directly involved in numerous property developments and other property related businesses. He has more than 40 years of experience in the property industry.
He together with his partner, Christine Smith, established SDS (Smith Davel & Scholtz) attorneys in 2013. He now focusses on Developments while working as a Consultant for SDS Attorneys.
